Scarlett, Alexis, and Justin had been friends for over two decades. Therefore, Justin could tell a tonce if

Scarlett was being polite or serious. He did not force her.

Justin took Alexis’ suitcases from Michael’s hands. On the other hand, the big celebrity, who was already

in the car, waved at Scarlett. “Lettie, I’ll leave Mikes to you. Love you!”

Scarlett glanced at her and said, “Be careful of the paparazzi.”

Scarlett fastened her seatbelt. “Has Alexis arranged a dorm for you?”

Scarlett curled her lips into a smile and drove away from Clear Waters.

It was after 3:00 pm by the time they returned to the villa. Scarlett settled down Michael in the guest

room and taught him how to use Hilla. She then drove out at about 4:00 pm.

Last month, their company was considering five startups. After a preliminary assessment, they only

planned to invest in a company that did online shopping user development, but Scarlett was personally

more optimistic about Yet League, a company that came up with the app “Sins Around You”.

Scarlett rarely showed up at the company. Since this company did not pass their company’s assessment,

she did not intend to invest as a company. Therefore, she asked her secretary to get her the contact of

Yet League’s founder and planned to talk in person. 1

The appointment was set to be at 4:30 pm. By the time Scarlett arrived, it was 4:35 pm.

As soon as she entered the coffee shop, she saw a man in a suit sitting by the window.

The man was probably about 25 to 26 years old. He was better looking than in photos.

Scarlett liked good-looking people, by which she secretly thought more highly of him.

She lifted her legs to sit opposite the man, but the man seemed to be quite surprised. “Miss, I’m sorry,

but I have an appointment with someone.”

Scarlett smiled and responded, “If you’re Jared Sander, I should be the person you’re waiting for.”

Jared was less nervous when he saw her smile. “I just didn’t think that the legendary Scarlett would be

so young and beautiful.”

Scarlett raised her eyebrow. “I’ll take that as a compliment.”

As she spoke, she shifted her gaze to the proposal in front of Jared. “Do you mind if I take a look?”

“Of course not, I specially prepared it for you.”

The investors that Jared recently met were middle-aged men in their forties or fifties. It was his first time

seeing such a young and beautiful investor like Scarlett, thus he was more confident than before.

Scarlett reached out to accept the proposal from Jared. “Wait a moment while I take a look at it.

She had seen the proposal before, and she was only going to take a look again to see if there were any

changes and if the other party was sincere.
